Through Buena Vista, Aspen, Independence Pass in the middle of the night...

So we thought we would stay at Buena Vista, though haddnt made a reservation with accomodation. So when we got there it was a bit of a culture shock from the $40-55 a night cheap motels we had been finding, the cheapest one I think we could find was about $100USD and so it was about 7pm getting dark, so what do we decide to do drive through one of the highest parts of the Rocky Mountains known as independence pass, then through one of the most expensive parts of Coloraldo, Aspen to get to Glenwood springs which we found a motel almost in our backpackers budget. Our car still has an overheating problem, and a no heater problem etc. so we set off, soon it's freezing outside and inside the car as we climb the 4,000 metres vertically to get over the mountains, when we get near the top we are soo cold we start experimenting with the heater and soo good, we get it going!! Anyways we drive through Aspen ( which we would have liked to see during the day) and are starving by about 11 pm and then in the idle of nowhere in the mountains we see a Wholefoods! Now anyone who has been to the states knows 2 to 3 amazing supermarket chains they have there, Trader Joes, Amazing and Cheap, Wegmams, Amazing and not so cheap, and Wholefoods, Amazing and Pricy. But Wholefoods has amazing soups right and so we pull in just before they close and have a soup dinner. We finally make it to Glenwood springs and find our simple room to be nice and clean, and we sleep like Babies :)
